Most investors end up funding entrepreneurs who look like them aka White men. This leaves behind many amazing founders, especially women of color.

By creating a name that stands out in the investment landscape, as well as a unique tone of voice and fresh brand design, we elevated Founderland into Europe’s fastest-growing community that connects female founders of color to investors and opportunities.

We discussed and explored many different naming options – formerly known as Tech in Color, our client wanted a name that expressed inclusivity & invited underrepresented entrepreneurs, as well as high-profile investors. Founderland represents:

  • The new frontier, a land that can be conquered by everyone

  • A place, where prejudice is left at the door

  • A safe space home to many diverse founders 

  • A community that gives back to its people

We then helped out our client concept and develop a program that sets female entrepreneurs up for success – Compass has strong roots in Founderland’s local, grounded spirit: A program that guides entrepreneurs without restricting their creativity or their ambition to choose their own path.
